    Monster Girl Quest

    Monster Girl Quest! Paradox RPG is a story-driven RPG where Luka, our protagonist, sets off on a great adventure. Here you will find basic and spoiler-free information to help you get started on your journey.

    System Settings

    Much like similar games in the genre, Paradox is an RPG Maker-based game that can be configured to suit the player's preferences. Several options can be set by selecting Config in the pause menu, in particular:

    • Window color and volume levels.
    • Auto dash and dash speed.
    • Skip vore or defeat scenes.
    • Show enemy HP and status analyzer.

    Altering the color scheme can help make the text stand out more, and volume levels can be set separately for music and sound effects. Certain scenes can be automatically skipped to suit your tastes, and showing the enemy HP can be helpful to gauge the difficulty of certain encounters and keep track of status effects.

    World Interaction

    As a full-fledged role-playing game, Paradox offers countless opportunities to interact with the environment and its inhabitants, including but not limited to:

    • Furniture containing helpful consumables and occasionally even key items.
    • NPCs that provide story context and sometimes lead to entirely new quests.
    • Treasure chests are hidden away in secluded locations to reward daring explorers.

    Your traveling companions will also offer unique dialogue throughout your adventure as you interact with the world around you. Communicating with the locals provides not only plot-relevant information but also character development for both you and your allies, so always take as many of them with you as you can.

    Recruiting Monster Girls

    Following battles, any defeated monsters have a chance to be recruited into your party.

    This chance is based on each species' affinity, which can be raised by initiating dialogue with them during battle. This can be performed by using the Talk skill; available only to Luka at first, but can also be taught to other companions in due course.

    Monsters may also sometimes initiate a dialogue of their own accord.

    Talking to monster girls can lead to a variety of situations, such as them asking questions or requesting items. Favorable interactions will increase their affinity level, displayed as a number between 0–100 in the targeting menu.

    Increasing affinity leads to higher recruitment chances and beneficial exchanges occurring more often. Certain abilities available later in the game can also increase the chances of recruitment, as well as provide greater affinity boosts.

    Finally, any successfully recruited girls will join your traveling party or, if your party is full, be sent to the Pocket Castle.

    The Pocket Castle

    The Pocket Castle is an integral part of the game, available early in the adventure and accessible by using the Pocket Castle listed under Key Items.

    Here, Luka can interact with all the companions he may have recruited throughout his journey, as well as review any companion requests through the bulletin board.

    Once recruited, Amira will provide valuable information through the castle lobby. It's highly recommended to often check in with her to learn more about ongoing developments and quests.

    Maid NPCs stationed at key locations also offer several services to Luka; the most important being the ability to add members to your party by selecting them from the list or removing them by using the [Shift] key.

    As the list of companions grows, you may also use the [S] key to sort the list in various ways, as well as [A] to check their information or [D] to directly warp to their location within the castle.


    Not to be confused with the aforementioned affinity, affection represents the intimacy level between Luka and a particular companion.

    Besides participating in battles, presenting them with gifts while inside the Pocket Castle can also increase their affection. Common items yield minor increases, while luxurious meals and rare valuables can yield significant boosts.

    After raising their affection beyond certain thresholds, companions will often reward you with unique items or equipment, as well as fulfill additional and more elaborate sexual requests.

    Affection values can be reviewed through the maid's companion list, or by speaking directly to each companion inside the castle. Stronger monsters, more notably queens or bosses, have many affection reward tiers.

    Jobs and Races

    Paradox has a deep and intricate leveling system, boasting many different tiers of jobs and races, which may seem overwhelming at first. To start with, characters have three different levels displayed at any given time:

    • Character level: increases stats and resources, such as HP or MP.
    • Job level: teaches skills and abilities, mastered at level 10.
    • Race level: teaches skills and abilities, mastered at level 10.

    While character levels do not need to be managed, jobs and races are mastered once they've reached level 10, at which point it's strongly encouraged to begin leveling different ones so as to keep learning additional skills and abilities.

    Certain jobs of a higher tier, known as intermediate or advanced jobs, also require several lower-tier jobs to be mastered before they can be accessed. This also holds true for certain races, so make use of all the experience points you get.

    Job and race changes can be performed by speaking to the Head Priest at the Ilias Temple, available early in the game, as well as several other locations that open up as you progress through the story.

    Skills and Abilities

    Leveling jobs and races will grant access to their respective skills and abilities.

    Skills and abilities perform very different roles. Skills are actions that can be utilized during battle and are often associated with a skill type, such as Sword skills.

    Abilities, on the other hand, act similarly to passives. They must be equipped outside of battle by navigating to each character's ability window, and are likewise separated into different categories, such as Combat or Defense.

    Each ability also costs a certain amount of points to equip, preventing excessive amounts of abilities to be used at once. This limit is imposed by the character's job, with higher-ranking jobs having higher ability point limits.


    Traits provide unique characteristics to each companion, allowing them to perform better in certain combat scenarios compared to others.

    It is possible to review each companion's trait by navigating to their respective status window. This information is crucial to bring out each character's potential and choose what jobs to level them with.

    For instance, Lime's Boomerang Love trait makes her highly compatible with Throwing and slime-inflicting skills. Similarly, Luka's trait gives him an edge when using Heroism skills at low health.

    When deciding how to build a particular character, always inspect their trait first and consider what types of skills and jobs they would benefit the most from.
